Recommendation: The Good Life of a Holy Idiot

The Good Life of a Holy Idiot is comprised of two narrative sides: lower and upper. One is an odd-impressionistic look into the heartland of America(Lincoln,Ne); the other is a passive-comic approach to life in Monterey, Ca. some sixty-three years after Steinbeck's 'Cannery Row.' Neither of which, it has been said, should be taken very seriously.

This has also been said of the book:

"My little brother, [Benjamin], has just written a (or The-) Great American Novel so simple, calm, collected, and soothing in insight that I cannot help but smile about it--and from a godawful jail all!"

--Brandon Font, written from Jackson County Jail
