I believe in the value of the journey above the outcome. I've learned that believing that being open to only one outcome can set parents up to feel pressured and anxious as they venture forward, viewing their birth as a "pass or fail". Birth is one time where it's critical to get out of your head and let your instincts lead the way! That is extremely difficult when you're worried about what might or might not happen.
